How these rates work.
Where do the prices come from?
Spot references for gold, silver, platinum and palladium are drawn from international market data and refreshed every few seconds. The 24-hour gold change and chart use the PAX Gold (PAXG) market as a continuous trend reference, aligned to the spot rate.
How is the riyal price calculated?
The Qatari riyal is pegged to the US dollar by the Qatar Central Bank at 3.64 riyals per dollar, so riyal prices are the dollar price multiplied by 3.64.
What do the karat rates include?
Only the value of the fine gold contained at each purity. Premiums, fabrication, making charges and taxes are not included — they depend on the product and are confirmed by the desk.
Why might the market show “closed”?
The global spot market closes from Friday evening to Sunday evening New York time, and pauses briefly each day. During these periods the last reference price is shown.
Can I buy at the price shown?
The rates are for information. Your price — spot value plus premium — is confirmed in writing by the desk before you commit.
